Question of the Week: Body Image

Tell me about your body.

What do you love about it?

What would you miss if you lost it?

How strong are you? How fast are you? What can you do that no one else can?

The Question of the Week is meant to be an Inner Workout for you. Find some time during the week and allow yourself to write the answers to the questions posted. You can write them on paper, on a word processor or here in the comments section. Whatever works for you as long as you do it.

Keep writing until you find out something about yourself that you didn’t know before. I’ve also heard that it works to keep writing until you cry, but that doesn’t really work for me. Whatever works for you. Just keep writing until it feels right.

    I like me loose skin and all. My husband treats me as if I am beautiful so I feel beautiful.

    The would I miss if I lost it? My mind. My mind is my favorite body part. It’s really the internal things I’d miss. I’d also hate to lose my personality. Some people lose their kindness with weight loss and treat other over weight people not so nice.

    I’ve never been this strong and I love this. I’ve been thin before but never strong. I was afraid of doing weights while thin but not while I was bigger in high school. I guess I felt it didn’t matter if I was bulky it was all covered in flab but I got hyper concerned about looking too muscular the first time I lost the weight

    I was just about to say that I love your question of the week too!

    So: my body: It’s okay except for my major problem area – upper thigh! grr

    I love: my height, and my athleticism (I’m sure I butchered that word).

    I would miss all of it a lot if I lost it – I can’t say what I would miss the most, because it’s all pretty important.

    I’m pretty strong and pretty slow – even though I have long legs and everybody assumes I run track – if they only knew*

    Okay, Tell me about your body.

    What do you love about it?

    I have always been very flexible. I also like that I carry my weight well. In other words, when I am at my goal weight, I look like I weigh a lot less than many other women the same height and weight.

    What would you miss if you lost it?

    My eyesight. I have learned American Sign Language, and know I could function if I lost my hearing, but my fingertips do not seem to have the sensitivity for Braille. Also, I love to sew, knit, crochet, and so many things that would be so difficult or impossible if I could not see.

    How strong are you? How fast are you? What can you do that no one else can?

    I am not very strong or fast. There is nothing I can do that no one else can do, but there are many things I can do that not many other people can do, such as my sign language, my crafts, etc.
