The operative word in that announcement, in addition to the very few cities where they are doing this, is &quot;select.&quot; Good for you if you are one of those lucky few. But after calling my 24-hour club in Sunnyvale and finding out that they are not going to be getting these, this announcement had the exact opposite effect on me -- it has motivated me to find a gym I&#039;m more happy with.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I do agree that such a means of tracking and recording workouts is long overdue, though. Too bad 24-Hour Fitness decided to do this in such a limited way.&lt;/p&gt;
