I have been using a 405 for about three years now and honestly don't know what I would do without one! I have tried out a few of the other Garmin models but keep going back to the 405 for the advanced workouts and the virtual training partner. Best bit of running kit I own by far!

Super-bummed about the lack of Mac support. Even rudimentary syncing would be nice -- I guess the device itself is still handy on the run, but I want to see my data after the run in all its glory :(

Nice review but I have to disagree with his comment about the 305 battery life, I have had mine go as long as 11.5 hours (see my run of 4/19 on Runner+, ID SLBPlus) and I know of one runner who has closer to 14, so for 50 miles to 100k it will just about last, going beyond that...well with the price of them falling like it is you can afford to buy another one! Otherwise with the USB cradle you can at least charge it on the fly.
