Saw the product at the Head of the Charles Regatta last week and bought one. It works great. When I jog, I don’t feel like I am swatting flies because the wires are not flapping around. I also was worried about the sweat thing. It is not a problem. The strap goes around the iPod and the strap is what touches the skin. I like it.

Megan,

The Nike+ system only works on the iPod Nano right now (still hoping for iPhone support). Here are some entries that talked about the Nike+ when it was new.

Starling Fitness » How to Use Nike+ on ANY Type of Shoe

Starling Fitness » First Glance: Nike+iPod

Starling Fitness » Nike+ After Two Weeks

It works AWESOME with Runner+ and you don't have to deal with Nike+'s slow website. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me!

I would be a bit worried about the sweating issue, particularly when i have heard/read about people having issues with the Nano in an armband, putting it on your neck could be just asking for trouble?

Megan, the Nike+ works with the Nano, there is a receiver that you plug into the bottom and a transmitter that either goes into the sole of Nike+ shoes or you affix it to non Nike shoes by way of a pouch etc. The transmitter is an accelerometer and it measures distance and pace, it then transmits the data to the iPod, when you have finish you plug your iPod into you pc/mac and upload the data to the Nike+ website, you can also sync with Runner+ and I believe the online Nike training log where you can analyze, map, name etc your runs. There is a Nike+ forum where you can subscribe to challenges and chat etc. It's well supported and quite addictive although as with everything in life it has it faults. Hope that helps.

Looks interesting. I have an iPod shuffle, but am considering upgrading to one that I can actually choose specific songs.

Just out of curiosity... how does the nike+ work w/ the iPods? I use runner+ but would like to upload my runs like I see so many other people doing, without doing it manually. Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.
