I think the label thing is helpful not for people who already pick up trash, but for those who hadn’t really thought about doing it on purpose. The whole “green” movement is of course getting overly commercialized and cute-ified, but if it motivates people to do the right thing? I’m pretty Cranky myself but I like what they’re doing, whatever they call themselves.
