		<description>&lt;p&gt;....oops, I was just blogging and now realized I was to answer the question re: traveling!  Here&#039;s my fix:  pack good running shoes and appropriate running attire for weather, check in with area running groups ahead of time for paths, safe running areas, etc.  Then:  DO IT!  Better yet, for short trips, stay at hotels with good fitness centers &amp; hop on the treadmill.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;....so now I am coming up to my first ann&#039;y of running as well as my 51st birthday.  Running with goals has changed my life, fitness level and self image. Today I&#039;m reflecting on the importance of stretching and cross-training, after coming off of a hamstring injury that kept me out for six weeks. In between, swimming, cycling and a bit of physical therapy have worked wonders.  I continue to be inspired by running and my fellow runners.  Here is to the next 10-miler, working up to it slowly of course!&lt;/p&gt;
