Whoa! Perfect timing! I am taking an inner journey to, as FISH philosophy states, "catch my limit of happiness, fulfillment and meaning". This will definitely focus my attention. Thanks very much, you made my day!

I was just browsing the web when I found this blog, and it helped a lot. As a teenage girl, it can be difficult to not get caught up in the "be thin at all costs" mantra, and I think that journaling would be a huge help. I already keep a semi-regular personal journal, but I really like the idea of combining it with a health journal, I think it would keep stress down....

Thanks for the sample, I just might have to try it soon! Too bad I'm completely overloaded with homework tonight :(

Thanks again!

I just joined my county's Wellness Initiative where people at the local hospital meet with you every two weeks to help you keep on your weight goals. I have to record my daily food and exercise, which I haven't had the discipline to do before (I think the accountability to them will help). Their food log forms look similar to your pages, and I instantly thought back to this post when I saw their little check boxes for water. This is the first week I've been doing this, but I've already noticed an improvement in my cravings/hunger since I've been trying to check off my water allotment. I thought I had been drinking enough water, but I know now that I wasn't. It feels like just this simple step is going to help with the weight loss goal. They also have us weekly circling 'crappy' food choices and analyzing why we made them, as well as pinpointing any times that we lost control. All of it reminded me strongly of what you post here about your journaling. I think I'm going to start participating in your journaling exercises, as well. Thanks much!

Those are so cool. I just made a list of 105 things that make me happy and distilled it to a few categories. I wonder if a checklist of those categories would work for me?

I use a comb binder. I bought a cheap comb binding punch from Office Max and I use some comb binders called ZipBind. They're kind of cool because you don't need the comb binding machine to open and close them. You can just open and close them by hand.

Here is a link to the ZipBind:

ZipBind from GBC

I couldn't find them on the Office Max website, but you can buy them directly from the manufacturer.

How do you do the binding?

I have something very similar based on the DIY Planner templates that I keep in a classic (5.5x8.5 inch) binder. Now I will have to post mine. :)

P.S. Apaprently WP-Hashcash doesn't play nice with Safari. Boo.

What an awesome idea! I used to be really good about writing in a diary/journal. Then I also came up with a food & exercise journal. Then I had kids & kept up with their baby books & scrapbooks & keeping 2 journals just for myself seemed like too much. But this combines the 2 together! This, I can handle! Thanks so much for sharing!
