I worked all night, came home to fall a sleep while watching the news. Watched the buring of the first tower and really didn't understand what was going on until I seen the plane hit the second tower and hearing the plane fly low over Cleveland.

My phone began ringing off the hook from family and friends. I could not sleep the remainder of the day but went back into work that night.

I did not work out, matter of fact, I am sure I did not leave the house that day except to go back into work that night. I was truly sick and afraid for the safety of my friends, family, myself and the world.

What did make me binge days later was when I sent my then 13 year old son to the store. He was stopped by two police officers, thrown against the cop's car, searched for no reason except that he was black, 6 ft tall and 240 pounds. The cops gave no reason for the search and let him go once they found out he was only 13.

Both these events hurt my heart dearly and both are remembered together with tears on September 11th.

I had worked all night on my novel. I sleeping in and having nightmares. Someone's TV was on. I was exercising but not formally at the time. I was just dancing to my fave tunes and not walking or doing fitness tapes or weights. I was very numb at the time.
