As a Girl Scout leader (2 troops) there is nothing more discouraging to us than hearing "No thanks, I'm on a diet..."! Yes the cookies are tempting, and if they are too tempting for you, you can make a "gift of caring" by buying a box and letting the troop donate it to someone else. We had 6 cases of gift of caring cookies that we donated to a treatment center for abused and neglected children... they were so excited to get them!

As always, the Girls Scouts of America appreciates those who help us raise money to broaden the horizons in a young girls life... some of our money is going to take us to Space Camp for a weekend next month! Who knows, maybe one of my girls will become an astronaut because of the support of our local community!

Can't do it. They can't stay in the house. I have been known to thaw out food in my mouth. When I purchase Girl Scout Cookies from co-workers, I do open all the boxes, look at them and ask myself is it worth it. On my good days, they are not worth it and I put them out for everyone to enjoy, of course, on someone elses desk. I never ever bring them home.

My mom does this with homemade cookies. She freezes the whole batch, and takes one frozen cookie to work, and it's thawed by lunch. It's hard to over-do it on cookies that will break your teeth... The downside to doing it with Girl Scout Cookies?? Thin Mints are AWESOME frozen... (Sorry if that tempts anyone-- my inner fat girl took over...)
